At Menkes, our craftsmen work with passion, precision and a very clear vision: to create show shoes that enhance your stage presence, blend in with your wardrobe* and, above all, take care of the health of your feet.

Each model is designed to offer maximum comfort, facilitate movement and help you avoid injuries, even during intense days of rehearsal or performance.

With over 70 years of experience and the support of the most advanced technology, each pair is made in a craft, one by one, with the utmost care and dedication.

As all our shoes are handmade especially for you, the estimated production time is 45 business days from the moment the order is received in our workshop.

Each pair is unique and every detail reflects our exceptional craftsmanship.

*If your costume isn't ready yet, we can create it with you, because for us the show is a whole where every detail is important.

 

size and width

Our shoes are made with European (EU) sizes.
We recommend selecting the same size you normally wear in shoes with the same heel height.

At Menkes, we also offer three options of last width, so that the fit is as precise as it is comfortable:

  • A – narrow feet

  • B – standard width (most common)

  • C – wide feet

Choosing the right size and width is essential to ensure comfort, stability, and performance on stage.

At Menkes, we know that every artist has different needs. That's why we offer four options. platform so you can customize your shoes according to your comfort, performance style, and experience:

  • No platform: ideal for those who prefer more direct contact with the ground and a more classic aesthetic.

  • 1cm inner platform: provides cushioning and comfort without modifying the exterior design of the shoe.

  • 1cm outer platform: improves overall comfort and offers a subtle visual enhancement.

  • 2cm outer platform: a taller option for those seeking height and presence with maximum stability.

Sole and philis

The type of sole y philis (1/2 non-slip sole) It's key to ensuring the performance, safety, and durability of your performance shoes. At Menkes, you can choose from different combinations to adapt your footwear to the type of ground and the discipline you practice.

Sole options:

  • leather sole: Elegant and traditional, ideal for smooth stages and professional use. It offers excellent response to movement.
  • Suede sole: provides better grip, especially on polished or slippery surfaces.

Philips Options:

  • rubber philis: Provides extra grip and protection. Recommended for those seeking greater security on stage.
  • Philis suede: Perfect balance between glide and control, ideal for fluid movements and quick pivots.

Buckle

The closure system is key to comfort, fit, and speed before you hit the stage.

At Menkes we offer you two types of buckle, both safe and designed for intensive use:

 

  • Standard buckle: the classic metal clasp. Strong, elegant, and easy to adjust.
  • Quick-release buckle: Same classic design with a convenient mechanism for easy on and off without compromising security and style.

 

orkin

El orquin It is a metal piece in the shape of a mini-support that is inserted between the sole and the heel to reinforce it.

Its function is to reinforce a key area, thus improving the stability, durability and support of the footwear.

When is orquin recommended?

An orquin is essential for those who wear shoes intensively, especially in professional environments where wear is greater. It's also recommended for unstable floors or when the stage includes stairs, thus preventing the heel from catching.
